For decades, Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning has started each winter the same way: by giving a new furnace to a local family who needed it most. It’s a tradition our team and our neighbors look forward to every year.
Now, with Origin Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical, we have more trades and a larger service area. So we’re growing the giveaway too!
Families and individuals in our full Northern Colorado service area who are facing a heating, plumbing, or electrical need they can’t take care of on their own. That might be a senior on a fixed income, a family going through a hard stretch, a veteran, or a neighbor who always helps everyone else and never asks for anything.
You can nominate someone else or yourself.
Nominations are open through December 6, 2026 at 5pm. Recipients will be announced the week of December 15, 2026.
1. ENTRY: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Contestants will enter by submitting an entry on a nomination form before the deadline.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Winner must reside in the service area of Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning (FCHA) and Origin Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical (Origin PHCE).
3. WINNER SELECTION: Winner will be determined by the executive team at FCHA/Origin PHCE. Nominations will be reviewed and we will follow–up with further details if you are selected as our winner.
4. PRIZES: We are giving away one (1) heating unit and installation, one (1) plumbing installation or repair, and one (1) electrical installation or repair to families in need at no charge. Recipients are chosen at the discretion of FCHA/Origin PHCE, and one recipient may receive more than one prize. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be announced in the week of December 15, by email and/or phone. Inability to contact a winner may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner(s).
6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: a. Participants hereby grant FCHA/Origin PHCE a non–exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to broadcast, publish, store, reproduce, distribute, syndicate, and otherwise use and exhibit the Submission (along with their names, voices, performance and/or likenesses) in all media now known and later come into being for purposes of trade or advertising without further compensation. Participants represent and warrant that they have full legal right, power and authority to grant FCHA/Origin PHCE the foregoing license and if applicable, have secured all necessary rights from any participants in, and contributors to, their Submission in order to grant such a license. b. FCHA/Origin PHCE is under no obligation to use any Submission or return the Submissions to participants.

We live here too. Patricia V. from Berthoud had been struggling for five years after her solar system failed, leaving her family reliant on an insufficient wood stove. Faced with an unwilling repair market and a harsh winter approaching, Patricia’s situation demanded action.
Even though Patricia lived slightly outside our service area, her circumstances compelled us to help. Seeing the joy and relief wash over her upon receiving the news was a powerful reminder of the impact a simple act of kindness can have. Patricia’s story is just one chapter in this ongoing tradition.
Last year’s winner, Dawn B, had a furnace that was 17-years-old and made noises that a heating system should not make. Her nomination caught our eye because she has provided a foster home for 35 teen girls over the years.
