Glenn Frank bought Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning from his grandfather in May of 1996. The company has been family owned and operated since 1934. Four generations of the Frank family have been directly involved with the business.The original company name was Fort Collins Sheet Metal. Back in the early days air conditioning wasn’t part of the market and heating was a small part of the business because of the small town and small market for furnace work. So, the company did a lot of “tin work” or sheet metal work, including gutter work, custom sheet metal, fireplace utensils, garbage cans, architectural sheet metal, automobile race car panels and, of course, duct work.When Glenn bought the company from his grandfather, Hollis, in 1996 he changed the name to Fort Collins Heating & Air Conditioning to better fit the times.
